Lisette van Beek

Lisette is a graduate student on the MSc Sustainable Development Earth System Governance at Utrecht University. With a background in cognitive psychology, she is fascinated by the human decision-making process with respect to sustainability. As the future involves many uncertainties, understanding how future scenarios are imagined is essential for effective climate negotiations. Under the supervision of Joost she is currently writing her master thesis on decision-making under climate tipping points through the medium of gaming, and hopes to contribute to a better understanding of climate tipping points by global political actors within the Gaming Climate Futures Project.
